I had the pleasure of working with Mycki & Jarl on their wedding in August 2024, and I was blown away by the beauty of every space, the attentiveness of the team at Mendakota, the tasty food, and the fabulous sunset!

Getting Married at Mendakota Country Club
Mendakota Country Club is a private golf club open to events for anyone, so if you’re looking for a well-kept and beautiful place with character to boot to get married, this could be it!
All staff are with the Club, so they know everything you’ll need to know on your wedding day. They’ll set up your ceremony chairs just as you need them, provide tables, linens, chairs and chair covers for your reception, and have in-house catering and bar service. I cannot stress enough how seamlessly they work to provide the best service for you and your guests — just outstanding!
Oh, and before you get too worried about in-house catering and bar service, let me tell you that Mendakota has AMAZING food and can fulfill all of your bartending needs! They actually hold a big tasting day each year for all of their wedding clients so you can try absolutely everything they have to offer and craft your perfect food and drink menus.
Beyond those services, they also have a newly renovated getting ready space that is bright, private, and perfect for getting hair and makeup done. Lunch, snacks, and mimosas are also available…ummmmm, yes please!! Oh, and they’ll take you out on golf carts for sunset photos, too.
Weddings at Mendakota Flow Smoothly
Lastly, I want to mention the wedding/event flow at Mendakota Country Club. With an outdoor ceremony, you and your guests will then move into an indoor cocktail hour, and then over to the reception hall for dinner. Everything flows super nicely and there is no confusion for your guests on where to go. All the spaces are accessible for your guests who may need that as well!
While Mendakota provides a ton of what you will need on your wedding day, you will want to round your experience out with some of your own vendors. You’ll likely want to hire a coordinator, an officiant, a photographer and/or videographer, a hair and makeup artist, a DJ, band, or dueling pianist, a florist or decor rental, and maybe even a live wedding painter!
At Mycki and Jarl’s wedding, we had quite the team, and I have to say…their day could not have gone more perfectly!
